General rules:
You can enter a competition without coming
to the party. All you have to do is to send us your release
in e-mail or upload it to an ftp and then send the url.
One person can enter a compo with up to two releases.
We ask you to attach a FILE_ID.DIZ to every release.
It should contain the title, the authors name and contacts,
and the fact that you released it at the Function 2003 party.
We won't show the authors name, only the title of the release.
Voting will be done by giving you votesheets to each ticket
you buy. After the compos we will collect the filled out sheets.
We will preselect in every category, where the releases must
reach a certain minimum quality. Don't be afraid, we were also
beginners once and know that noone was born with a mouse in
her/his hand. This goes against only the 'i did it in 5 minutes
in paint' style releases.
Pornographic and/or vulgar or offensive releases will be filtered
out, too.
PC/Amiga/Console Demo
- max size is 15MB (zipped)
- max duration 10 minutes
- it should exit on pressing ESC (or RMB for Amiga)
- it may write on the harddrive, but should clean it up
- please report any special hardware/software needs before party
PC/Amiga 64k Intro
- max size 65536 byte
- it should exit on pressing ESC (or RMB for Amiga)

PC/Amiga 4k Intro
- max size 4096 bytes
- it should exit on pressing ESC (or RMB for Amiga)

Retro Demo
- we accept anything which is not bigger than 1 disc

- max size: 1 screen, no scrolling
Tracked Music

- max size: 2MB (zipped)
- we won't accept remixes (don't try to fool us, we know the brown
tone!)

Wild demo/Animation
- everything that doesn't fit in any other category
- if you need special hardware let us know before the party. If
we cannot present one, you have to bring it along.
1 hour compo
- make something in an hour, according to the theme we will give
- it can be anything, demo, music, picture or even live act on
the stage
- you will see the remaining time on the projector
